Role and responsibilities

The successful applicant will ideally:

  • Have sound interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work cooperatively in a Design and Technology (Materials and Technology) team.
  • Exhibit sound classroom management, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs, and practice a range of teaching strategies.
  • Engage students and challenge them to achieve their personal best.
  • Work effectively in a team and independently, supporting initiatives and programs in Design and Technology.
  • Engage in professional learning and liaise with colleagues, parents, and external networks.
  • Teach Design and Technology (Materials and Technology) with flexibility to contribute across other subject areas.

Eligibility and application

To Work With Us, You Must:

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; obtain a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
