Job Title: Design and Technology Educator

Role Overview

This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing with possible extension and/or permanency.

The Ideal Candidate
  • The successful applicant will ideally have sound interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work cooperatively in a Technologies Learning Area team.
  • Sound classroom management, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and the ability to practise a range of teaching strategies are highly desirable for this position.

The successful applicant will ideally be a teacher who can engage students and challenge them to achieve their personal best. You should be able to work effectively in a team and independently, while supporting the initiatives and programs in Design and Technology.

This role primarily involves teaching Design and Technology (Materials and Technology) with the flexibility to contribute across other subject areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Design and Technology courses to students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater for diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and educational programs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve school goals.
