As part of the People and Culture team, you will provide operational and strategic human resources (HR) advice and support in a range of workforce management functions such as performance management, discipline, return to work, legislation, and policy interpretation. The role provides the opportunity to work with seasoned HR professionals across a broad range of HR activities to deliver a high-quality service to clients.

The People and Culture team is responsible for all facets of the Human Resources agenda including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and selection, coaching and mentoring, learning and development, workplace health and safety and other related activities. This close-knit team values creative thinking, challenging the current way of doing things and collaboration.

About The Role

As the Senior HR Advisor, you will:

• Provide both operational and strategic HR advice and services in areas such as:
• Conduct, performance and integrity, including coaching managers.
• Ill health and rehabilitation support.
• Developing and reviewing HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Overseeing HR projects, including supporting organisational change initiatives.
• Industrial relations, including advice on legislation, industrial instruments and directives, and supporting the Agency Consultative Committee.
• Designing and delivering training sessions and employee briefings.
• Contributing to the workplace health safety and wellbeing program of work
• HR reporting including providing information and referrals to external agencies.
• Facilitating employee conversions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal clients, external stakeholders and service providers.
• Prepare business cases, briefings, reports, and policy or discussion papers.
