A high-profile Melbourne organisation is seeking an experienced, well-rounded Senior P&C Business Partner with strong Workplace Relations expertise to join their growing team. This permanent role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a team of talented Business Partners.

This role will contribute to the creation and delivery of an aligned People strategy and successful delivery of people initiatives, while leading and inspiring a small team, driving impactful people strategies across a high-profile operational portfolio.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of People, you'll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, guiding them through the full employee lifecycle. You'll lead and mentor a small team of People Business Partners/Advisors, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy, and deliver tangible outcomes in areas such as culture, change, IR/ER, talent strategy, leadership capability and wellbeing.

This is a visible, hands-on role where you'll influence key business priorities, shape people initiatives, and contribute to high-performance outcomes across a large, complex workforce.

This role requires 4 days in the office and 1 worked from home.

Day-To-Day

  • Lead, coach and develop a small team of People Business Partners/Advisors.
  • Partner with senior leadership to deliver people strategies aligned to business priorities.
  • Provide expert advice on complex IR/ER issues, change management, workforce planning, and leadership development.
  • Drive employee engagement, capability building and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work and other legislative requirements.
  • Collaborate with People COEs to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience within a People Business Partnering function.
  • Strong background in generalist HR across complex, multidisciplinary environments (large blue-collar workforce experience highly regarded).
  • Extensive experience in complex IR/ER matters, organisational change and high-performance culture initiatives.
  • Exceptional relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of ambiguity and deliver under tight timeframes.
