The primary objective of this role is to deliver strategic pest management expertise by providing comprehensive regional administrative and technical support. The position plays a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing key pest management priorities across the Northern Region, ensuring effective and sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with planning, delivering, and reporting on pest management projects across the region.
- Play a key role in the delivery and monitoring of pest management activities to ensure outcomes align with regional priorities.
- Provide mapping and data management support and apply or learn best-practice pest management techniques.
- Share knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders, assisting them to identify solutions and overcome challenges.
- Foster and contribute to a positive, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture.
- Participate in multi-day field trips and travel to various locations across the Northern Region as required to support pest management activities.
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Be an effective communicator, capable of working collaboratively within teams and with external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify solutions quickly and practically.
- Work efficiently, both in teams and autonomously, to deliver on project goals.
- Bring desirable skills such as experience in mapping, data management and knowledge of pest management best practices.
- This role offers the opportunity to contribute to protecting Queensland\'s natural landscape while collaborating with a variety of teams and stakeholders to implement effective pest management solutions.
