
Forest Operations Specialist

As a Senior Forest Ranger, you will play a crucial role in monitoring field operations and planning associated with state authorised native timber operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor field operations to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
- Plan and coordinate daily operations, including lessee engagements, measuring log stock, log measurer accreditations, assessing tree selection and other relevant operational activities
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to plan weekly activities and prepare relevant documents and electronic information
- Conduct safety preparations, including completing the weekly itinerary, vehicle pre-start inspections and preparing required safety equipment
- Travel by 4WD to planned forest operations areas, setting up camp and undertaking safety preparations as needed

Requirements:- Manual 'c' class license is mandatory for this role
- Ability to walk long distances on uneven terrain in Queensland's challenging weather conditions, carrying up to 10kg of essential equipment
- Basic camping skills and ability to work in remote areas
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
