Koppens are seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our company. If YOU have previous experience in driving a truck in a construction environment or hold a minimum Heavy Combination HC Truck License, we want to hear from you

The maintenance of our fleet and the safety of our drivers is of high importance to Koppens, we are seeking long-term drivers who are seeking consistent work.

As an experienced driver you would understand that if you work in the civil construction industry in FNQ, you will be driving on dirt roads and you need to be aware of the additional hazards.

The Truck Driver position requires a keen eye, you will be a crucial member of our crew who service the top quarter of Queensland making sure our roads are safe and efficient for all that use them.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Material spreading
  • Floating machinery
  • Driving tippers and water cart
  • General Maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose breakdowns and change tires
  • Abide by NHVR and TMR legislation

Key Requirements:

  • Construction White Card/Blue Card
  • HC or MC Drivers licence
  • Must have Road Ranger (18 speed) gear box experience minimum of 2 years
  • Machinery/ Plant tickets will be highly desired but not essential (Excavator, Roller, Dozer etc)
  • Understanding of tipper/ spreading material work
  • Willing to work away from home (current job on Palm Island TSV)
  • Undertake a Pre-Employment Medical including a D&A
