Overview

Join to apply for the Media and Communications Advisor role at National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.

A great opportunity is now available for an experienced Media and Communications professional to hit the ground running in the NHVR's Corporate Affairs division.

This is a temporary position until September 2026, full-time, based in Newstead's Gasworks precinct (close to transport, cafes and end of trip facilities). We are also willing to consider applicants based in Adelaide or Melbourne. Being a communications role, there may be a requirement to undertake occasional on-call work outside of business hours.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Manager Media and Communications, the role balances internal and external responsibilities.
  • Internally, create CEO and executive communications and assist across NHVR's business areas with communications needs.
  • Externally, respond to media enquiries and produce media releases and media alerts, and create industry and local government e-newsletters.
Location and Work Arrangements

Based in Newstead, Queensland, with a hybrid work environment and family-friendly team. Occasional on-call work outside business hours may be required.
