We're on the lookout for an experienced Accounts / Bookkeeper to join the One Teaspoon team at our Head Office in Brookvale, Sydney.

This is a part-time, on-site role, working three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). We're a flexible and inclusive workplace and can accommodate family-friendly working hours where needed.

Accounts / Bookkeeper – Part Time

We're on the lookout for an experienced Accounts / Bookkeeper to join the One Teaspoon team at our Head Office in Brookvale, Sydney.

Founded in Sydney in 2000, One Teaspoon is a globally recognised cult denim and apparel brand, with stockists in over 35 countries and long-standing partnerships with major retailers like Free People, Revolve, Shopbop, Nordstrom, and Saks.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, this position involves managing the full spectrum of bookkeeping functions — including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general financial record keeping and bookkeeping.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking someone with:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Permanent residency in Australia
• Formal qualifications in a relevant field
• Able to work on-site at Brookvale 3 days a week

Key Responsibilities

Financial Administration & Record Keeping

• Reconcile daily bank transactions
• Create and send customer invoices
• Process batch payments to suppliers
• Maintain accurate credit card reconciliation records

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Manage AP/AR transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Coordinate secure local and international payments

Reporting & Compliance

• Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports across multiple entities
• Confidently manage Balance Sheet, P&L, and budgeting analysis
• Handle IAS and BAS lodgements
• Execute month-end and quarter-end financial processes

Payroll & Taxation

• Run payroll via Xero, ensuring compliance with superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, and STP reporting
• Maintain asset registers and perform stocktakes across locations

Communication & Collaboration

• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and global teams
• Work closely with external accountants for year-end financial processes

Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in Xero
• Experience using Shopify
• Solid understanding of general ledger, P&L, Balance Sheet, budgeting, and journal entries
• Confident in all aspects of bookkeeping, including payroll, GST, IAS, BAS, and STP
• Excellent attention to detail with strong Excel and Word skills
• Highly organised with excellent time management and self-motivation
