About the Role

We're searching for a sharp and reliable Accounts / Bookkeeper to help keep our numbers in check. This part-time role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to work within a high-performing and supportive team based in Chippendale.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and reconciliations
  • Prepare payroll and ensure superannuation compliance
  • Assist with BAS preparation and liaise with external accountants
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
  • Process and manage prepayments and accruals
  • Keep financial records tidy and accurate
  • Support management with ad hoc financial queries and reporting
  • Handle payroll tax, superannuation submissions, and end-of-month adjustments
  • Manage the accounts inbox and ensure timely responses
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations
What You Bring to the Table
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • Demonstrated experience as a bookkeeper or accounts officer
  • Solid working knowledge of Xero; experience with Astute Payroll is a bonus
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Construction industry experience? A plus, but not a deal-breaker
