Location: Perth, Western Australia

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $100,000 - $155,000 per annum + super

As we expand in Western Australia, we seek a high-level Mechanical Engineer with strong inventor and design skills to join our Perth team. If you want your ideas to improve mining safety and efficiency, and thrive in an innovative, supportive culture, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Lead design and development of mechanical systems and components for conveyor and bulk material handling
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure material selection and delivery meet design goals
  • Create and validate designs using CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD) and FEA tools
  • Apply mining industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance best practices
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster continuous learning and innovation
  • Coordinate project timelines, procurement schedules, and support site visits
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, balancing creativity with engineering constraints

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in inventive design, preferably in mining, bulk materials handling, or heavy engineering
  • Proficiency with CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD) and FEA tools
  • Knowledge of mining safety standards and Australian compliance requirements
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with suppliers and teams
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with passion for innovation and quality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
