We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale cyber security vulnerability remediation project within a major Queensland Government department.

This role is responsible for managing the full ICT project lifecycle , from planning and scoping through to implementation and transition to BAU. You'll work closely with cyber security and ICT teams to ensure the program delivers measurable risk reduction, meets strategic objectives, and aligns with broader architectural standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of a complex cyber security remediation program across a multi-disciplinary technical team
  • Manage project planning, scope, scheduling, governance, change, and transition to BAU
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including plans, schedules, risk registers, reporting, and change artefacts
  • Ensure delivery aligns with organisational architecture, policies, and security strategies
  • Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders to support delivery and decision-making
  • Provide strategic advice on delivery models, frameworks, and security uplift strategies

Skills Required

Proven experience delivering complex ICT or cyber security projects in government or large enterprise environmentsStrong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2 ) and governance frameworksAbility to manage technical delivery teams across security and ICT disciplinesExcellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skillsExperience with project artefact development, reporting, and structured governanceAbility to work across multiple streams and manage competing priorities

Highly Regarded Experience

Understanding of the ASD Essential Eight , particularly vulnerability remediationFamiliarity with tools and platforms such as : o Rapid7 InsightVM o Microsoft Secure Score / Defender o Privileged Access Management (PAM) o Cyber security operating models and uplift strategies
