Overview

Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships, in partnership with RoadTek, are offering paid Civil Construction Traineeships in Bridge and Road Construction & Maintenance.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career with a major civil construction employer, part of the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR). You'll gain hands-on experience, receive mentoring, and complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction (Structures or Road Construction Maintenance RII30920) - all while earning pay.

Skills You Will Learn During Your Traineeship
  • Maintain & rehabilitate bridges
  • Construct & mark roads

  • Carry out measurements & calculations
  • Plan & organise construction work
  • Work safely in compliance with WHS requirements
The Role
  • Outdoor, hands-on work in hot, dusty conditions
  • Day & night shifts on rotation
  • Potential travel & work away from home
  • Physically demanding role - must be fit for work
What You'll Need
  • Construction White Card (can be completed before starting)
  • Current driver's licence + reliable transport
  • Flexibility for day/night shifts & travel
  • Commitment to complete your Certificate III in Civil Construction
Bonus
  • Labouring or construction experience
  • Strong teamwork skills & motivated attitude
  • Year 10 certificate + good literacy/numeracy skills
Location

Must live in the Mackay QLD region.

Pre-employment
