Truck and dog drivers civil operators

CQ Construction & Civil is seeking experienced and skilled Truck Drivers and Civil Operators to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. As a full-time employee, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of our construction and civil engineering projects in the local area.

What you'll be doing

  • Operating various heavy plant and machinery, such as trucks and excavators, to complete construction tasks
  • Safely transporting materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites
  • Performing routine maintenance and inspections on all vehicles and equipment
  • Working collaboratively with the wider construction team to ensure project milestones are met
  • Adhering to all relevant safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar construction or civil operations role
  • Relevant licences and certifications, such as a HR, HC, MC  driver's licence, Construction Induction (White Card), and tickets for operating specific machinery, rollers, skid steer, graders and excavators
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to adapt to changing site conditions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with other trades and project stakeholders
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all work tasks
