Business Analyst @ Leading fintech company

Business Analyst position at a leading fintech company. This role is with Valiant Finance and based in Surry Hills, NSW, AU. Valiant is an innovative platform connecting Australian business owners with finance, working with over 80 lenders to provide a seamless customer experience from enquiry to settlement.
A note: this is a role with Valiant Finance, not with Hatch.
Responsibilities- Ensure the consistent accuracy of Valiant's matching and quoting technology, including AI Assistants, by conducting thorough stress-testing of their performance and outcomes.
- Engage with Business Development Managers, Credit Analysts, and other stakeholders from the Lender Panel to ensure data integrity and trustworthiness of lending products on the platform.
- Translate lending product details from plain language into a programmatic format suitable for the matching engine.
- Support the sales team by coaching them on how to maximise the value of tech products, including product demonstrations, addressing questions, and promoting internal adoption.
- Liaise with all functions within Valiant to identify opportunities where AI can streamline processes.
- Conduct research on the lending space to identify new features and improve the tech product portfolio (e.g., the matching technology).
- Critically evaluate Valiant and third-party datasets, and perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and insights for business decisions.
- Excellent team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to synthesise complex topics and communicate them clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software.
- Experience with JSON data structures, or willingness to learn.
- Curiosity and interest in AI and its business applications.
- General finance and lending knowledge valued; SQL and Python familiarity valued but not mandatory.
- 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, research analysis, or similar roles.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Economics, Data Science) preferred.
