Position Number: 8106 Location: Queanbeyan

The Package: $81,268.2 - $89,799.32 gross per annum + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 11 of the QPRC Salary System 2025).

Full time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

Looking to apply your payroll processing skills and top‑tier customer service to a dynamic Council environment? Join our small, collaborative People & Culture team and ensure every pay‑cycle is accurate, timely and compliant.

In This Role You Will

  • Execute fortnightly payroll processing, including maintenance of Council's salary system and superannuation payments.
  • Deliver expert payroll advice on Council policies and Award interpretation through high‑quality customer service via face‑to‑face, telephone and email.
  • Assist with the management and operation of Council's salary system, including data entry & reconciliations.
  • Collaborate closely with a small, supportive team to deliver high quality service
  • Assist with report writing and analysis

We Are Looking For Someone Who
  • Has proven payroll processing experience and strong proficiency with electronic HR information systems and payroll software, preferably within Tech One.
  • Excels in customer service and communication, both written and verbal, across multiple mediums.
  • Is a highly organised, detail‑oriented and collaborative team player with ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of applications.
