HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER - Hamilton Island

Hamilton Islandis seeking a passionate, highly motivated Human Resources Business Partner to join ourPeople team. If you're looking for a hands-on HR role where you can support leaders, improve processes and make a real impact - this could be the perfect fit.

Reporting to theHuman Resources Manager, you'll act as a trusted advisor across a diverse portfolio of up to 500 employees. You'll work collaboratively with leaders on a range of people-related matters, from advising of performance management to workforce planning, change management and compliance.

Where you'll make an impact:

  • Partnering with department managers across the employee lifecycle, including coaching and mentoring, performance management, position and workforce design, remuneration and talent development
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver high-quality support and advice
  • Supporting business change initiatives, improving engagement and advising on strategies that enhance performance and reduce workforce cost
  • Supporting internal succession planning and working closely with Recruitment on talent sourcing
  • Coordinating training and development requirements in partnership with the Learning and Development team
  • Managing and advising on award interpretation, policies and relevant legislation, particularly the Hospitality Industry General Award (HIGA)

To be successful, you will need:

  • 3 to 5 years' experience in Human Resources (Essential)
  • Proven experience advising large operational teams, ideally in hospitality, tourism, or similar service industries (Essential)
  • Strong understanding of award interpretation and employment legislation (HIGA knowledge highly regarded)
  • Qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (Desirable)
  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to live on-island or commute five days per week
