Parks and Open Space is responsible for areas and facilities that add to the community's enjoyment of Council developed spaces, to encourage and provide for passive and active recreational needs. Parks and Recreation includes the following functions:

  • Recreation planning and management
  • Reserves and commercial centres maintenance
  • Sporting fields
  • Tree management
  • Asset planning and management
  • Business support and management

The Opportunity

The key focus areas of this role include:

  • To perform landscape maintenance within the commercial centres of the Northern Beaches LGA
  • To perform minor repairs of infrastructure within the commercial areas
  • To work cohesively in a team to deliver a safe environment for the community
About You

What you will need:

  • A white card (General Construction Induction Card)
  • Minimum C Class Driver's License with a good driving record as you will be required to drive the council vehicles to and from sites.
  • Minimum 6 months parks & gardens, landscaping or horticulture experience.
  • Chemical Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
