About the Role

The Logistics Project Advisor is responsible for driving the optimization of freight and transport operations across the business. The role focuses on identifying and implementing efficiency improvements in fleet planning, scheduling, and overall transport usage to support cost-effective and reliable logistics performance. It requires close collaboration with field teams and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with operational needs, with a strong emphasis on field engagement and practical implementation of logistics enhancements.

Position : Logistics Project Advisor (Logistics Coordinator)

Location : Chinchilla, QLD

Indicative Term of Contract : 7 months (for maternity coverage)

Working Arrangement : Monday-Friday (8 hours)

Skills and requirements :

Knowledge of Freight Forwarding, Customs and Road Transport.

Proven experience optimizing coordination of logistics and integrated scheduling activities.

Proven stakeholder management skills, internal and external.

Commercial mindset for performance management, including utilisation.

Safety leadership.

Understanding of regulations and standards applicable to end-to-end material movements.

Capable of learning a variety of supply chain, planning and scheduling software including SAP Blueprint, mInventory, and Other 3rd party Supply Chain software

Accountabilities :

Responsible for supporting the efficient, safe and competitive management of end-to-end materials transport in line with legislation and company's HSSE requirements.

Responsible for aggregating the Road Freight Demand across all demand sources, including Materials Planning, Projects, Rig Support and all other interfaces requiring road freight.

Ensure optimization of heave vehicle usage across the business with a FFF lean focus

Support review and analysis of monthly transport invoices received

Supports tracking of transport budget spend and assists in the preparation and submission of operating budget proposals.

Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction

Implement CI initiatives to reduce manual activities and help automate processes and workflows

Responsible for providing Road transport technical data advisory support at pre-award of contract

Optimises the in-housing of integrated planning in regards to delivery of materials by coordinating contractors and end-users, and maximising the use of resources.

Timely identification of business (Wells, Projects, Operations) requirements for transport needs for Heavy Vehicles.

Supports company material movements KPIs and lead improvement initiatives.

Provides assurance of transport activities.
