Destination Brisbane Consortium have an opportunity for a motivated Retail Property Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and financial aspects of the Retail and F&B tenancies of Queen's Wharf Brisbane.

Queen's Wharf Brisbane is a new world-class integrated resort development which has placed Brisbane on the map as a tourism, leisure and entertainment destination. It was delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium, a privately-owned and operated joint venture between The Star Entertainment Group, Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium. Our consortium brings together a powerhouse of Australian and global experience in property and hotel development, consumer and retail markets, entertainment, and hospitality.

This role involves managing leases, maintaining strong tenant relations, ensuring upkeep and repairs, monitoring financial performance, and maximising property income. If you have a strong customer focus, exceptional relationship-building skills, a keen eye for detail, and are highly organised, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

Lease Management: ensuring compliance with lease terms and managing renewals.

Tenant Relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with tenants, addressing their needs and concerns, and resolving disputes.

Maintenance and Repairs: Overseeing property maintenance, repairs, and renovations, ensuring a safe and appealing environment for tenants and the public.

Financial Management: Managing budgets, collecting rent, controlling expenses, preparing financial reports, and monitoring revenue.

Property Optimisation: Identifying opportunities to improve property occupancy, maximise revenue, and enhance tenant satisfaction.

Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Reporting: Preparing regular reports on property performance, including occupancy rates, rental income, and expenses.

Communication: Effectively communicating with tenants, property owners, and other stakeholders.

Marketing: Participating in marketing efforts to attract tenants and increase property visibility.

Tenant Management: finding and screening new tenants, managing lease agreements and renewals, addressing tenant concerns and requests, building positive tenant relationships.

Financial Management: collecting rent and managing payments, managing property budgets and expenses, preparing financial reports for property owners, maximizing rental income and minimizing operational costs.

Property Maintenance and Operations: ensuring the property is well-maintained and safe, overseeing repairs and maintenance requests, managing vendor relationships, conducting regular property inspections.

Lease Administration: managing lease agreements and renewals, ensuring compliance with lease terms, handling lease terminations and "make good" processes,

Other Duties: developing and implementing marketing strategies for the property, identifying new income streams for the property, staying up to date on relevant legislation and industry trends, building strong relationships with other property professionals.

Competencies, Skills & Qualifications

Strong understanding of real estate and property management principles.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Financial literacy and budgeting skills.

Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and industry practices.

Experience in property maintenance and repairs.

Proficiency in relevant software and systems.

A strong work ethic and a commitment to providing excellent service.
