Newmont Tanami is on Aboriginal freehold land 540km northwest of Alice Springs. It is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset in a core Newmont region. The Tanami Expansion 2 project, aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. Both the successful exploration within the underground operation and implementation of the first Tanami Expansion has laid the foundation to further develop the operation to remain a major contributor to the Newmont portfolio.

This role is being offered on a 8:6 roster. You can FIFO from Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth or Brisbane and reside in our fully equipped accommodation village.

Are you passionate about equipment reliability and predictive maintenance? We're looking for an experienced Asset Health Analyst to join our Processing Asset Management Health team at our Tanami Operations. This is your opportunity to play a key role in optimising equipment performance and supporting production excellence.

About The Role

As an Asset Health Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing equipment and operational data to diagnose issues, recommend corrective actions, and predict equipment health. You'll work closely with site-based teams and OEMs to ensure maintenance strategies are effective and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse condition monitoring and operational data to evaluate asset condition and identify potential defects.
  • Recommend and follow up on corrective maintenance actions.
  • Support and improve asset maintenance strategies using RCM methodologies.
  • Track and trend equipment data to assess strategy effectiveness.
  • Participate in site-based defect elimination programs.
  • Share lessons learned and contribute to global knowledge forums.
  • Promote safety through design and conduct critical control verifications.

About You

You'll bring a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You are a team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Trade or Engineering qualification.
  • Extensive experience in heavy industry (fixed plant equipment).
  • Significant experience in condition monitoring analysis (including field-based roles).
  • ISO Level 2 Vibration Analysis certification.
  • ICML Level 1 Lubrication Analysis certification.
  • Experience with condition monitoring systems (e.g., Emerson MHM, Dingo Trakka).
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and project management skills.
  • Thermal/Infrared Analysis Level 1 certification (desirable).
  • Experience in a centralised Asset Health support function (desirable).
