Mechanical Engineer

  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday (5:2)
  • 38hr week
  • Location: Perth City (7km east)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating mechanical engineering efforts across teams to support power station and remote site projects, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement through technical expertise.


Interviews to commence Thursday, August 28/08.



Core Responsibilities
  • Deliver mechanical engineering design, calculations, and documentation in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, and contractors.
  • Communicate technical information effectively and provide design input for new power stations and supporting facilities.
  • Support clients with generator installations on remote sites and offer operational guidance for asset maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities for long-term improvements and ensure quality control and compliance with legislation and Australian Standards.
  • Oversee equipment selection, procurement, and site process enhancements.


Experience/Qualifications (essential)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 + years experience within a commercial environment
  • Sound knowledge of process and instrumentation diagram symbolise and flow diagrams
  • C class manual licence
  • Ability to work remote
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Experience with MicroStation drafting packages in a commercial environment
  • 3+ years' experience with SolidWorks CAD package
  • Experience with the Pronto ERP system
  • General knowledge of:
    • Symbols and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
    • Compressed air systems
    • Engine exhaust systems
    • Pumping and filtration
    • Basic electrical principles
    • Basic construction principles
