Job Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in building services. This role involves designing and implementing mechanical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specification of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation.
  • Preparation of detailed design calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Support project delivery from concept through to construction and handover.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Attend site meetings and inspections as required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Participate in project reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering workshops.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a building services consultancy or related environment.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems in the built environment.
  • Experience using relevant design and calculation software.
  • Familiarity with UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and sustainability standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams.
