Overview

Our client is at the forefront of maintaining critical commercial and defence aviation capabilities both nationally and internationally. The Technical Support Officer will be responsible for the management of workshop practices, maintaining workshop reporting, assisting area supervisors and ensuring training and development is maintained across the team. Candidates will also administer submissions related to warranty and policy claims as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake technical practitioner duties
  • Undertake the repair and maintenance of complex issues
  • Ensure workpacks, BOMs align with referenced technical data
  • Provide technical assistance and support
  • Maintain Technical registers
  • Manage technical enquiries
  • Undertake planned maintenance and corrective actions as required
  • Conduct testing and modification activities
  • Supervise other staff, including trainees and/or apprentices
Qualifications
  • CERT IV Aeroskills - Mechanical
  • Maintenance and repair experience
  • Cert IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor
  • First Aid Qualified (Desirable)
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • MUST be eligible for AGSVA Defence Security Clearance
Additional notes

The ideal candidate will have had some form of experience in workplace training and assessment. Candidates who are self-starters and are looking to become a leader in this field should apply. Candidates who do not meet all the requirements but have good experience in the Aerospace and/or defence sector should apply.
