Job Opportunity: Casual Teacher in Cabinet Making and Joinery

We are seeking an experienced Casual Teacher in Cabinet Making and/or Joinery to join our team at East Geelong Campus. This casual role is ideal for a trade professional who enjoys sharing their skills and knowledge.

In this role, you will support and deliver vocational education and training programs to diverse learners, using various teaching methods, including self-paced and on-the-job training.

This position is suitable for someone with at least 10 years of industry experience, who holds (or is willing to obtain) a TAE qualification, and is eager to contribute to student learning.

About You:
  • 10+ years of current industry experience in Joinery, Cabinet Making, or both
  • A qualification in Cabinet Making and/or Joinery
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122), or willingness to obtain it
  • Ability to engage with diverse learners and adapt delivery to different needs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • A collaborative and flexible attitude

Employment Details:

Casual as required

Salary:
  • Casual Teacher Level 1: $86.15 (teaching) / $58.56 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF4 qualification
  • Casual Teacher Level 2: $89.54 / $60.86 per hour | AQF5 qualification
  • Casual Teacher Level 3: $93.08 / $63.23 per hour | AQF6+ qualification
  • Teacher Level 1.1 to 1.2: $79,743 to $90,944 p.a. (pro-rata) | AQF4 qualification
  • Teacher Level 2.1 to 2.3: $92,266 to $102,461 p.a. (pro-rata) | AQF5 qualification
  • Teacher Level 3.1 to 3.4: $105,717 to $121,462 p.a. (pro-rata) | AQF6+ qualification

Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
