Position Overview: Mygration is engaged to source the following position for our client. Our client is a leading innovator in the design, fabrication, and installation of high-quality steel structures and electrical systems for industrial and commercial applications. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician (Machinery) to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems for heavy machinery, substations, and industrial control systems. You will work closely with engineers and technologists to ensure all electrical installations meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Responsibilities- Design & Documentation: Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans for industrial installations, including substations, switchgear, motor control systems, and cabling networks.
- Develop wiring diagrams and termination schedules for control panels used in heavy machinery and automation systems.
- Technical Support: Assist electrical engineers in the design, testing, and optimization of electrical systems for machinery and structural projects.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in PLC-controlled systems, including servo drives and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Testing & Analysis: Conduct electrical tests, perform complex calculations, and analyse data to validate system performance.
- Perform insulation resistance (IR) testing, earth continuity checks, and thermal imaging on high-voltage equipment.
- Cost Estimation: Assist in estimating material quantities, costs, and project timelines.
- Evaluate supplier quotations for electrical components (e.g., circuit breakers, contactors) to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect electrical installations and finished products for compliance with specifications.
- Verify that all electrical work adheres to AS/NZS 3000 and IEC standards before commissioning.
- Installation & Maintenance: Assemble, install, calibrate, and repair electrical equipment, including protection relays and metering devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance on industrial motor control centres (MCCs) to minimize downtime.
- Workshop Operations: Undertake workshop duties, including wiring, testing, and modifying electrical assemblies.
- Fabricate and test custom control panels for machinery integration.
- Research & Development: Contribute to R&D initiatives by assisting in experimental programs.
- Assist in the testing and integration of renewable energy systems (e.g., solar inverters) into industrial power networks.
- Trade Certification or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical drafting, machinery wiring, or industrial electrical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical) for schematic and layout design.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform technical calculations and interpret test data.
- Knowledge of industry standards, including AS/NZS 3000 and electrical safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience with motor controls, switchgear, PLCs, and protection systems is highly desirable.
- Workshop & fabrication skills, including the ability to assemble and troubleshoot electrical components.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project teams.
- At least 1 year of full-time on-the-job work experience.

We have recently been awarded a major project to maintain a company-wide network infrastructure and IT systems, which demonstrates the trust we have built in the industry. Due to increasing demand from other clients, we are expanding our team and are looking for a skilled and motivated Computer Network and System Engineer to join our professional and collaborative environment.
Role OverviewAs a Computer Network and System Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure and supporting internal systems and business applications. This role blends responsibilities across network administration, systems support, user support, and business application maintenance, including ERP/CRM systems.
Key Responsibilities- Configure, install, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN performance, internet connectivity, and system uptime across multiple sites.
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Perform routine system maintenance including backups, updates, patching, hardware diagnostics, and server health checks.
- Provide responsive Level 1 and 2 technical support to internal staff for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and office equipment.
- Administer user accounts, system access, Microsoft 365/email accounts, and endpoint security tools.
- Support ERP and CRM applications by resolving user issues, coordinating with development teams, and assisting with testing, updates, and data entry validations.
- Document IT infrastructure, network topology, issue resolution procedures, and operational processes.
- Participate in the onboarding/offboarding of employees and manage IT asset inventory.
- Implement security best practices, monitor vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Liaise with external vendors and managed service providers to escalate and resolve complex system or network issues.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager and project teams to support infrastructure upgrades, rollouts, and client solutions.
- Provide training and guidance to users and junior IT staff or interns as needed.
- Proactively monitor system logs, network traffic, and hardware performance to ensure stability and efficiency.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in IT support, networking, or systems administration roles.
- Practical experience with business applications such as ERP, CRM, or custom enterprise tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across software, hardware, and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems and documentation best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA Network+/Security+ are highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
