Revenue Systems Officer

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Australia's leading public healthcare providers. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join The Royal Melbourne Hospital in the role of Revenue Systems Officer within the Revenue Services and Finance team.

Reporting to the Revenue Systems Manager, your primary focus will be on managing and actioning system worklists, engaging with stakeholders to resolve issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of PBRC and related health systems. You will play a key role in maintaining system stability and supporting accurate, timely revenue processing across Revenue Services.

• System Support: Provide daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues across key revenue systems (PBRC, Karisma, PowerAssist), coordinating upgrades and enhancements to ensure stability and efficiency.
• Worklist Management: Maintain and action core system worklists, ensuring timely completion within KPIs and supporting accurate hospital billing processes.
• Analysis & Reporting: Assist the Revenue Systems Manager with data analysis, unresolved charges, and validation tasks, while preparing and distributing reports to stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work with Digital Innovation, Finance, clinical, and administrative teams to support system maintenance, integration testing, and resolution of data rejections.
• System Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of system improvements that streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention, and enhance data quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, monitor outcomes, and support initiatives that drive efficiency and strengthen revenue assurance.

• Experience with Healthcare software and billing, including programs such as PBRC, EPIC, iPM and Karisma.
• A strong understanding of IT systems and familiarity with basic coding principles.
• A genuine commitment to continuous improvement and embracing change.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build productive relationships across various teams and levels.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
• A qualification in Business Information Systems, IT, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
