We are seeking an outstanding people leader to coach, inspire, and lead the team at our seasonal pool

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Centre Manager to lead the team in delivering exceptional customer experiences on a casual basis.

As the manager of this fantastic facility, you will oversee the operations of the Centre, lead the team, and engage with the local community. You will be responsible for achieving operational, financial, and program objectives by developing and executing strategic plans in collaboration with the Centre's leadership team, stakeholders, and the local Council.

With experience in sales, financial management, and risk management, you will drive the Centre's overall success. This casual role is for the summer season from November to March, lasting approximately 5 months.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and staff through effective policies, processes, and procedures.
  2. Coach and develop leaders to meet KPIs through engagement, performance planning, and development initiatives.
  3. Foster a high-performance, community-focused culture through visible leadership and team engagement.
  4. Achieve budgeted performance targets.
  5. Maintain a strong relationship with the local Council.
  6. Implement a customer service strategy that meets the needs of the community.
  7. Recruit and develop passionate, diverse staff to support the Centre's vision.
  8. Identify and develop career pathways and succession plans.
  9. Maintain facilities to high standards in accordance with contractual requirements.

About You

You are an emerging leader driven by vision and energy, passionate about leisure, and eager to grow within a dynamic organization. You have a track record of shaping high-performance teams and understand the link between employee engagement and business success.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Experience managing or leading in a leisure or aquatic facility.
  2. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  3. Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  4. Proven experience in operational, financial, and personnel planning and execution.
  5. Current CPR and First Aid (Level 2) Certificates.
  6. National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People clearance.
  7. Legal right to work in Australia.
  8. Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or ability to obtain one).
  9. Pool Operations Certificate is highly regarded but not essential.
