General Manager or Operions Manager

Founded in 2000 by well-known psychic astrologer and media personality Rose Smith, we're a values-driven business making a positive difference in the world.

We're seeking a reliable, honest and trustworthy Part Time General Manager or Operations Manager to join our team. This is a rare long-term opportunity for someone based on or near the Gold Coast who enjoys mostly remote work while helping our founder focus on the creative and strategic side of the business.

The role involves approximately 20 hours per week, with fortnightly attendance at our Gold Coast office. After two years, you'll also be eligible to participate in our Profit Share Distribution Scheme, where a portion of company profits is shared with eligible long-term contractors.

Important: This role requires fortnightly attendance at our Gold Coast office. Please do not apply if you are unable to commute regularly. Overseas applicants and agencies will not be considered.

You must operate as an independent contractor with your own Pty Ltd company

Minimum 5 years' experience in senior management or operations leadership role

Demonstrated experience in operational management, including process improvement and team oversight

Australian citizenship or permanent residency with full working rights in Australia

Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and technology quickly

A calm, diplomatic and resourceful approach to problem solving

Reliable home office setup: desktop/laptop, phone, stable internet, backup systems

• Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, implement and oversee workflows and systems to ensure tasks and projects are completed on time
• Implement standard operating procedures and maintain internal systems
• Track business performance and generate operational reports
• Improve profitability by identifying inefficiencies, streamlining processes and recommending strategies to optimise revenue and reduce costs
• Investigate, research and identify practical use cases for AI within our operations to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making and support business growth
• Mentor, coach and support contractors and team members to thrive professionally and personally
• Act as a point of contact for operational questions or issues
  • Strategic & Future-Focused Contribution: Support the founder in strategic initiatives, including online growth, marketing projects and content development
  • Provide input and ideas to shape the business's future direction
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency and team engagement
  • Coordinate special projects and initiatives as required
  • Oversee financial processes in collaboration with the bookkeeper/accountant
  • Support profit share administration and team-related financial tasks
  • An interest in metaphysics, intuition or personal/spiritual development
  • Background in telecommunications, call centre management or online marketing
  • Deep experience in initiating and managing AI-driven projects, including applications that enhance content generation, predictive tools and personalised insights - ideal for supporting astrology and related services
