To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Activator.

This role is responsible for driving new business growth within the assigned state, while executing key activation initiatives across multiple channels and customers, as directed by the Away from Home (AFH) account team and State Account Manager. The position plays a critical role in delivering volume growth, securing new customer opportunities, and supporting the strategic activation of key accounts to ensure alignment with broader commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the BDR within the state to plan out New Business scopes to ensure success against the state new business target each year, using Salesforce and whitespace lists.
  • Build strong relationships with outlet managers to influence brand positioning and drive share and category growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (TMs, FSMs, Telesales) and external partners (Distributors, Asahi) to identify and convert new business opportunities, ensuring sustainable GTM solutions.
  • Proper use and maintenance of tools such as vehicle, phone, iPad, and POS; utilize AI to work efficiently.
  • Spend at least 2 days per week on key activations across channels like Education, Swimming Pools, Cinemas, etc., including broader customers like Subway and Bunnings, coordinated through AFH and SSMs.
  • Spend a minimum of 3 days per week scoping and converting new business opportunities.
  • Reengage with lost outlets quarterly to minimize cessation of buying our branded snacks.
  • Complete administrative tasks promptly and follow up on agreements to close deals.
Qualifications

About you

  • Understanding of different personality types and influencing using Insights Discovery principles.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with new contacts.
  • Effective questioning skills to understand customer needs and tailor sales approaches.
  • Ability to sell with category facts and insights.
  • Natural conversational selling skills resulting in action and timely follow-up.
  • Anticipate objections and resolve through negotiation techniques.
  • Proficiency in retail maths within sales conversations.
  • Knowledge of GTM methods and delivery channels like distributors, Foodservice, cash and carry.
