An exciting opportunity has become available in our Townsville Workshop for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team. As a highly motivated and experienced Mechanic, you would join our team as a full-time permanent team member. Our workshops are the core of our network, playing a critical role and ensuring our vehicles operate safely across Australia.

1. Routine Maintenance: Conducting regular maintenance checks and servicing to ensure fleet remains at compliance standards.
2. Diagnostics: Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems. This includes reading and interpreting error codes and symptoms.
3. Repairs: Performing repairs on mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and suspension systems. This involves replacing faulty parts or components.
4. Safety Inspections: Conducting safety inspections to ensure that all systems and components meet safety standards and regulations. This includes checking brakes, lights, and other critical systems.
5. Documentation: Keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
6. Operational Interaction: Communicating with operational leaders, and occasionally drivers, to ensure work is completed within timelines.
7. Compliance: Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance work complies with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and NHVR regulations.
8. Teamwork: Joining a large collaborative and driven team to excel. Support Apprentices in their journey by providing training and support while allowing them to be hands-on.

1. Hold a valid qualification for the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles (Certificate III in HV Mechanical Technology).
2. Proof of experience within the Heavy Diesel repair industry.
3. Excellent time management skills, ability to plan your workload & required parts.
4. Dedicated commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance Policies.
