Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Stellar Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded organization to fill a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic position in their Townsville workshop. You will work with a team to complete repairs and maintenance activities across a commercial fleet with light, medium, and heavy vehicles.
Key Highlights- Three-month contract with potential for extension
- Collaborative and dynamic work environment
- Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance
- MR License desired, but not essential
- Heavy vehicle mechanic ticket preferred
- Pump, hydraulic, and pneumatics experience beneficial
- Responsible for general cab chassis maintenance and small engine upkeep, including generators and pumps
- Australian working rights required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passing a medical and drug and alcohol screen prior to commencing employment
In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our client's commercial fleet. Your expertise in heavy vehicle maintenance will be invaluable in completing tasks such as:
- General repairs and maintenance activities
- Cab chassis maintenance
- Small engine maintenance, including generators and pumps
