Our business is experiencing strong growth in strategic and statutory planning across multiple states – particularly in relation to growth management, planning strategy and studies, plan-making, code drafting and governance.
We are seeking bright and innovative minds at the Associate level , who shares our corporate values, and are interested in advancing their professional careers in strategic and statutory land use planning and policy development.
As an Associate (reporting to an Associate Director) you will :
Be responsible for technical completion of projects and project tasks set for you by your Associated Director and other senior staff.
Work autonomously and as part of our team to deliver our projects and services to clients, ensuring excellence in delivery at all times.
Provide strategic and statutory planning advice and support to the Associate Director, through assistance of forward planning projects including :
the research, review and preparation of strategies;
review and preparation of plans, codes and policies; and
provision of professional advice on planning matters to both internal and external stakeholders.
Ideally your qualifications, knowledge and skills will include :
Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or a related discipline.
8+ years of professional experience.
Strong knowledge of urban planning and development, and local government policies and procedures.
Intermediate to advanced capabilities in strategic land use planning, and / or statutory drafting and plan-making.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of state planning frameworks, and local planning schemes and codes.
A passion for addressing complex environmental, social or sustainability issues and a desire to help shape outcomes in urban and regional areas.
Expertise in one or more of the following : GIS, Microsoft Excel, Adobe InDesign & Illustrator will be an advantage.
