Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. Easily accessible to Sydney residents, our team of clinicians, allied health, and support staff works with the community on a shared goal to maintain the delivery of high-quality healthcare in the Blue Mountains region.

At the Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital we're seeking a Health & Security Assistant for our Security Services team. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors by managing and de-escalating incidents and aggressive or difficult consumers; working with healthcare staff and in partnership with NSW Police when necessary.

You will play a vital role in supporting frontline healthcare professionals by responding to alarms, supervising various units, and completing general duties. You will work professionally and harmoniously, bringing your excellent communication skills and competency to the service. What You Will Bring To The Role
  • Current Security Licence (Class 1A)
  • Recent experience working in a Hospital Security or Health and Security Assistants role
  • Ability and willingness to work shift work, unsupervised and part of a team
  • Demonstrated sound, written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality principles
  • Demonstrated understanding of Work Health & Safety requirements
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
