Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality care to individuals living with mental illness or mental disorder.

This role is centered on providing comprehensive clinical services that are least intrusive, deeply collaborative, and firmly rooted in recovery oriented principles.

About the Role
  • Provide comprehensive clinical services to individuals living with mental illness or mental disorder.
  • Engage with consumers, their nominated carers, and families to ensure care is inclusive, responsive, and rehabilitative.
  • Promote evidence-based interventions that support long term wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated skills in mental health and mental health nursing assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
