Red Dust Holdings (RDH) is a leading name in the civil construction industry, known for delivering high-quality civil projects, safely and on time. Established in 2010, RDH are a privately owned Civil Construction, Heavy Haulage and Mining Services Operation, offering a wide range of civil and earthmoving solutions to an extensive client base throughout Regional Western Australia. We deliver tailored earthmoving and civil solutions for projects ranging from $2 million to $45 million, backed by a proven track record of project accountability, safety and quality outcomes.

About the role

RDH are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Recruitment Specialist to join our team and help us attract top talent in the industry. You will take the lead on end-to-end recruitment across a wide range of roles, from operational site-based positions through to corporate and technical appointments. You'll act as a strategic partner to hiring managers, proactively source candidates and deliver a high-quality recruitment experience that reflects our values and culture.

We put focus on getting to know each candidate before they become an employee in the hopes we can foster good relationships and an understanding of our employees wants, needs and training development goals. This all takes time…and that special someone who 'loves to chat' but can also manage the information in a timely and friendly manner. Reporting to the HR Manager, you are joining an experienced and passionate team who will support you with your success. Our team consists of; Recruitment Officer , Resource Scheduler, HR Administrator and the HR Manager.

Location: Perth (Rivervale) Office, with visits to Geraldton Head Office (flights & accomm arranged)

Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Roster: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruitment for both white- and blue-collar roles

Support resources for our projects across Bulk + Detailed Earthworks, Heavy Haulage and Mine site services.

Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver tailored sourcing strategies

Use a mix of proactive sourcing (Seek, LinkedIn, networks, talent pools) and traditional advertising to attract high-calibre candidates

Drive continuous improvement in recruitment processes, systems, and candidate experience

Maintain accurate recruitment data and reporting using our ATS

Support employer branding initiatives and workforce planning

About you

Proven recruitment experience (in-house or agency)

10+ years experience recruiting in civil construction, mining, engineering and relevant trades

Strong understanding of blue-collar and site-based recruitment processes

Confident communicator and influencer who can engage stakeholders at all levels

Skilled in sourcing hard-to-find talent using a range of tools and platforms

Highly organised with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment metrics

Exceptional multi-tasking ability and experience in managing conflicting priorities effectively

High level of organisation skills with a good memory is key, as the role involves changing logistics daily

Ability to work under pressure and build rapport with personnel

Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative

Microsoft Excel Intermediate (mandatory)

Experience managing a busy outlook

Drivers licence (mandatory)
