Global Synthetics is seeking a motivated and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team in Altona, VIC. In this role, you will be integral to the smooth day-to-day operation of the business whilst maintaining and developing existing customer relationships. Your primary responsibilities will include answering inbound calls, following up customer quotations, responding to customer enquiries, managing leads, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. You will be supported with ongoing training in a collaborative environment. No previous experience in the industry is required. This role offers excellent progression opportunities into inside sales positions and would suit a candidate looking to grow their career in this evolving industry. The successful applicant will be required to complete a Police Check.

Responsibilities
  • Responding to inbound enquiries by phone and email
  • Placing customer orders accurately and maintaining and updating customer records
  • Ensuring customer orders are delivered in full and on time
  • Placing purchase orders and maintaining stock accuracy
  • Preparing quotations and following up quotations with customers
  • Collaborating with Sales and Operations teams
  • Managing distributor relationships
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in inside sales or a customer-focused role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Experience using ERP and CRM systems; SAP is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Eager to learn and grow and continuously expand knowledge
  • Transport, manufacturing, civil construction or similar industry experience is advantageous
