About the Role:

We have opportunities at our Rutherford branch for Small Engine Mechanic. In this hands-on role, you'll work on a variety of John Deere Agricultural and Turf machinery, gaining valuable experience with cutting-edge equipment.

The key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to:

  • Detecting and diagnosing machine faults
  • Working on engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
  • Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and services in accordance with John Deere standards and procedures
  • Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repair for proper performance
  • Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
  • Document system information and repairs completed on work order, including parts used in our Company systems
