Base pay range

A$120,000.00/yr - A$140,000.00/yr

Join Empirical Solutions – Support Capability That Matters Empirical Solutions is seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Support Officer. Based at the Orchard Hills in Sydney, this full-time, on-site role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to mission-critical Defence programs while developing a broad skillset across project support, procurement, and site operations.

You will play a key role in enabling operational continuity and excellence across a dynamic, fast-growing regional team.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate personnel and facilities administration, including site inductions and onboarding/offboarding
  • Manage project documentation and reporting, including briefs, risk and issue registers, and status updates
  • Support records and information management, including secure storage and dissemination of technical and business data
  • Assist with procurement activities in line with Commonwealth and Defence policies
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations across Defence and industry interfaces
  • Contribute to a collaborative, delivery-focused culture that values precision, accountability, and shared success
What We're Looking For
  • Demonstrated experience in business administration and/or facilities support
  • Proven capability in procurement coordination and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • A self-directed approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • AGSVA NV2 clearance (minimum); PV clearance highly desirable
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • Cert IV in Project Management or equivalent
  • Prior experience in Defence project support or administration
  • Familiarity with Defence procurement and project management tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document control systems
