About the opportunity
Autocare is the trusted name in finished vehicle logistics across Australia — and we're looking for a National Maintenance Manager to drive operational excellence across our large, diverse fleet. From prime movers to purpose-built car carrying trailers, your leadership will ensure our equipment stays on the road and ahead of the curve.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement national maintenance strategies across our mobile fleet.
  • Manage workshops, 3rd party providers, compliance, and capital maintenance programs.
  • Lead preventative maintenance, lifecycle planning and operational audits.
  • Oversee asset availability, data accuracy, budgets, and labour optimisation.
  • Champion innovation, safety and continuous improvement across the maintenance function.
  • Build strong partnerships across operations, projects, and senior leadership group.

About your experience
With a strong background in compliance, safety, and contractor management, you will possess proven experience in asset or fleet maintenance leadership, ideally across multiple sites within a transport setting.

Other skills and experience will include:

  • Relevant trade qualifications or industry experience.
  • Solid commercial, budgeting, and data/reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • A willingness to travel Interstate as required.
  • Comfortable leading change in a complex environment.

Ultimately, you will need to be practical, commercially minded and solutions-focussed, an effective communicator with energy and drive who can collaborate across multiple teams, with the ability to develop strong relationships whilst operating with integrity and trust, and in alignment with our Company values.
