About The Role

MPK is seeking an experienced Fitter to join our local Maintenance Team located at Wellcamp, QLD. Reporting into the Infrastructure Plant Team, the ideal candidate will be highly motivated and eager to work a Monday to Friday roster, with the opportunity to work occasional weekends and support the team on site when required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks across our fleet of equipment, including earthmoving machinery, trucks, trailers, specialised equipment, light vehicles, and undertaking occasional smaller, ad hoc jobs. They will also assist with loading and unloading plant and freight.

Day-to-Day Tasks Will Include

  • Service and repair of all equipment
  • Rebuilds and overhauls
  • Creation of new equipment, building and assembly
  • Conducting daily prestart meetings and filling out JHAs as required
  • Guiding and sharing information with the team of fitters as required
  • Travel to worksites if and when needed
