As our Broadacre Agronomist , you will be a key member of the Toowoomba branch and a trusted advisor to cropping clients across the Darling Downs and Western Downs region. Embedded in the community and working alongside our rural products teams, you'll provide practical agronomic advice and support that helps growers make confident decisions across chemical, fertiliser, seed and soil health.

You'll work both in the field and in-store—supporting clients with planning, input selection, and new technology adoption, while identifying opportunities to cross-sell Elders' broader range of products and services. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role focused on supporting grower success and sustainable, profitable outcomes.

Responsibilities

As an Elders Agronomist, you will :

Build and maintain strong, service-based relationships with broadacre cropping clients

Provide tailored agronomic advice across chemical, fertiliser, seed and soil health

Conduct in-field assessments and deliver crop monitoring and planning services

Develop seasonal programs and input plans to support on-farm success

Identify opportunities to grow your client base and cross-sell Elders products and services

Stay informed on local agronomic trends, R&D, and emerging technologies

About you

To succeed at Elders, you have :

Tertiary qualifications in agricultural science, agronomy or a related field

Practical experience in broadacre / horticulture / viticulture agronomy, agricultural product sales,or crop consulting

Strong technical knowledge of cropping systems and sustainable input planning

Sound use of digital farm management systems for planning and recording recommendations

Current driver's licence and the ability to work independently in the field

Passion for Australian agriculture and a proactive approach to building client relationships
