Executive Officer - Superior Courts of New South Wales

Location: Dual location – Sydney CBD and Parramatta

Employment Type: Ongoing full time

Salary: $149,739 to $173,174 per annum, plus employer superannuation contribution and annual leave loading.

Overview

This is a leadership role to manage the operations of the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) in both the Sydney CBD and Parramatta. The Executive Officer shapes strategic initiatives and drives service excellence across a high-profile jurisdiction.

Your role

As Executive Officer, you'll lead and manage IRC operations, oversee resources and service delivery, and contribute to strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop the registry team with a proactive approach to issues management and a focus on performance improvement.
  • Oversee critical projects, analyse operational data, and provide high-level advice to the President of the IRC and Executive Director, Superior Courts.
  • Prepare and manage high-level communications, including briefings, reports, submissions, and notes.
  • Act as the primary contact for the IRC, liaising with stakeholders and coordinating responses to meet deadlines.
  • Implement, monitor and report on strategic, operational, and project plans to support informed decision-making.
  • Research and prepare strategic advice and reports on complex policy, planning, and operational matters.
  • Lead or contribute to projects aligned with organisational objectives, improving administrative systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality outcomes.
