**Executive Officer**
**Location**: Parramatta (hybrid working)

**Salary**:Clerk Grade 9/10 ($125,693- $138,510 pa), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
**Your role**
As the Executive Officer, Communication Branch you will support the Office of the Executive Director, Communication Branch, Corporate Services and provide a range of secretariat, communication and information coordination services to support consistent messaging, knowledge sharing and capability development across the branch.
**What you’ll do**
Specifically, you will:
- Coordinate the delivery of high quality and professional executive, information and administrative services.
- Exercise discretion, judgement, initiative and confidentiality to support the executive’s achievement of organisational objectives.
- Work with the executive on initiatives to make the branch more effective and efficient.
- Draft and edit high-quality professional documentation including ministerial and executive briefing notes, business cases, reporting documents and other matters as required.
- Develop, maintain and update templates, business and various technical documents, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Foster positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to enable the executive to function effectively across stakeholder groups and to facilitate the flow of business information.
**What we’re looking for**
- Carries a high level of autonomy.
- Maintains a degree of independence to develop a suitable approach in managing the workload, as well as that of supervised staff, and provision of advice and recommendations as well as input to the development of relevant systems, frameworks, team planning and projects.
- Determines own actions undertaken, within government and legislative policies, and for ensuring quality control in the implementation of own
- Ensures recommendations are based on sound evidence, but at times may be required to use their judgment under pressure or in the absence of complete information or as a source of expert advice to internal stakeholders across the Department as well as externally to Ministerial level.
- As necessary, consults with management on a suitable course of action in matters that are sensitive, high-risk or business-critical, or for those issues that have far reaching implications.
