The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking a Senior Water Operator to be based in Port Hedland 6721. Within this role you will be responsible for operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment plants / assets at client sites throughout the Pilbara.

What you'll be responsible for

Operate and maintain treatment plants and equipment according to standard procedures

Monitor plant operations and assist in plant optimisation

Conduct water quality sampling and manage documentation

Perform routine and reactive maintenance duties

Liaise with and supervise contractors as required

Manage resources, tools, and equipment to maintain operations

Ensure a risk-based approach to operations and maintenance

Generate client and internal reports

Occasional evening and weekend work, as well as regular travel within the Pilbara region, including overnight stays

What You'll Need to Be Successful

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in water treatment operations

Mechanical qualifications - trade or equivalent

Understanding of mechanical equipment and safety / environmental issues
