Civil (Water) Engineer

The Civil (Water) Engineer will be responsible for undertaking hydraulic, hydrology and water balance modelling with guidance from senior engineers. The role will also involve supporting the development of Consequence Category assessments including dam break modelling.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Undertake hydraulic, hydrology and water balance modelling with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Support the development of Consequence Category assessments including dam break modelling.
  • Assist in surface water management studies and investigations from concept through to detailed design.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field of study. An advanced degree is preferred but not essential. Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia, with the ability to obtain RPEQ/NER once adequately qualified, is required.

Desirable skills and experience include experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, competence in GIS, familiarity with ARR guidelines, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
