Partnerships Director

The Partnerships Director will act as a senior leader in the team, responsible for driving the success of a market leading digital partnership within the retail sector. This person will strategically navigate every facet of the partnership lifecycle and actively seek innovative solutions, partnering with internal teams to develop and implement high-level strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the partnership, enhancing revenue retention and propelling sustained year-on-year growth. This role reports to the Group Sales Director and has a Partnership Manager as a direct report, with responsibilities including day-to-day workflow management, performance reviews, professional development and ongoing upskilling.

• Accountable and responsible for managing budget and growing and retaining the partnership's budget and revenue
• Lead contractual negotiations and annual partnership strategy with senior client trading and client leads, collaborating with internal NCA stakeholders
• Understand, develop and execute long-term partnership strategies aligned with NCA x Client overall business objectives
• Identify and propose innovative brand, tech and category-based solutions to ensure relevance and growth
• Collaborate with internal departments to broaden the partnership's scope and integrate with other client services to improve efficiency and connectivity
• Serve as single point of contact for client, working closely with internal teams (partnerships, product, marketing, editorial, brand, finance/pricing) to align activities with business goals
• Pitch and negotiate proactive partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with client and NCA strategic goals

• 10+ years experience in media or marketing roles managing, developing and negotiating growth-focused partnership strategies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience negotiating with ELT level and C-suite stakeholders
• Proven sales and revenue-driving track record, managing large budgets and partnership revenue (> $5M)
• History of delivering sales growth, budget tracking and overachieving revenue targets
• Experience developing strategic media partnerships
• Experience devising short and long-term revenue-generating strategies in media or sales
• Demonstrated ability to analyse data and measurement platforms
• Experience establishing operational processes, systems and reporting to senior stakeholders
• Experience with conflict management and resolution
