Job Description

Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel is seeking a full-time Chef de Partie to take responsibility for assisting in the daily kitchen operations. Oak & Vine is building an accomplished, exceptional and talented restaurant team.

Experience / Duties

  • Producing high quality meals for our patrons
  • Assisting in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day operations of the kitchen
  • Demonstrating high standards of food production and presentation
  • The ability to work smoothly under pressure and remain calm in a busy work environment
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
  • Motivated and passionate about creating great quality food for our guests
  • Supervising, training and mentoring kitchen staff
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen

Qualifications

  • Relevant cookery qualifications (Minimum Cert III Commercial Cookery)
  • A minimum of two years experience in a busy hotel or restaurant environment
  • Experienced in banquet style cooking
  • Demonstrated experience working without supervision in a busy environment
  • Have a passion and pride in your abilities and the hospitality industry
