We're seeking a Senior Mine Geologist to lead and influence safe, efficient, and value-driven geological operations at Gruyere Gold Mine.

Gruyere, which commenced in 2019, is a world-class open pit operation located in the remote Yamarna Belt of Western Australia. It is a large-scale, low-cost gold mine with future satellite operations and significant exploration potential. It is a joint venture between Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources, producing over 300,000 ounces of gold annually. The mine boasts an impressive life, set to extend with ongoing exploration investments. About The Role

As a key leader within the geology team, you will drive safe, efficient, and data-informed geological practices. Reporting to the Manager: Geology, you will lead people and processes to ensure optimal gold ore production, support resource development, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring geologists and contractors to meet operational and safety targets
  • Providing accurate geological models to maximize recovery and minimize dilution
  • Overseeing grade control reconciliation processes
  • Championing exploration programs to extend the mine's life and grow resources
  • Ensuring the integrity of geological mapping, modeling, and reporting systems
  • Applying strategic insight to reduce geological risk and improve models
  • Fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven leadership in motivating high-performing geology teams
  • A degree in Geology or a related discipline
  • Strong experience in open pit gold mining, including mine geology, grade control, resource estimation, and exploration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and geological software (e.g., Datamine, Leapfrog)
  • A passion for safety, continuous improvement, and building a performance-driven culture
