Lead Mine Geologist

We are seeking a seasoned mine geologist to spearhead and influence safe, efficient, and value-driven geological operations at our world-class open pit gold mine in Western Australia.

About the Role
  • Oversee and mentor geologists and contractors to meet operational and safety targets.
  • Develop and provide accurate geological models to maximize recovery and minimize dilution.
  • Oversee grade control reconciliation processes.
  • Champion exploration programs to extend the mine's life and grow resources.
  • Ensure the integrity of geological mapping, modeling, and reporting systems.
  • Apply strategic insight to reduce geological risk and improve models.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership in motivating high-performing geology teams.
  • Strong experience in open pit gold mining, including mine geology, grade control, resource estimation, and exploration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and geological software (e.g., Datamine, Leapfrog).
  • A passion for safety, continuous improvement, and building a performance-driven culture.
